Medina Montessori will follow the school calendar for holidays consistent with the Bellevue School District; however it is unlikely those days-off used by BSD for public school in-service will also apply to Medina Montessori.
Medina Montessori School now operates on the basis of 20 class hours per week covered in five days, rather than the traditional 15 class hours spread over five days. A 16 hour schedule is applicable for pre-k and preschool age children.
September/October: Kelsey Creek
November: Grocery shopping at Whole Foods, Bellevue for Northwest Harvest.
February: One field trip oriented to the physical sciences.
March: Walking-trip to Wells-Medina Nursery, docented visit.
April: @ MMS, MDA hop-a-thon. (Docented Disability Awareness presentation at MMS on the prior Tuesday, April , 2008, 9:00 a.m.)
May: Preschool Prowl @ Overlake Blueberry Farm, docented visit.
